The Willamette Valley Pinot Noir is Willful's flagship wine, as it encapsulates all of the nuance and vibrant character that Oregon Pinot Noir is famous for.
The 2018 vintage is a blend of Pommard clone Pinot Noir from Northridge Vineyard (Eola-Amity Hills AVA) with Pommard, 777, 115 and Wadenswil clones from Stewart Vineyard in the Ribbon Ridge AVA. The grapes were fermented in small lots using native yeasts with around 40% whole cluster. The wine was aged for twelve months in French oak (some neutral and several one-year-old barrels).
" This quite meaty pinot has a very complex, spicy nose that will integrate within two or three years. There's plenty of fresh red cherries here too. The palate has a succulent edge and casts an unwaveringly fresh, red-cherry line in to the finish. Drink or hold." - 92pts Suckling Review
