Single vineyard pinot noir from Lia's Vineyard in the Chehalem Mountain. 828-clone pinot noir grapes from this dry-farmed vineyard were fermented as 100% whole cluster using native yeasts after a 10-day cold soak. The two-barrel lot was aged for 18 months in two 1-year-old barrels. The wine in sinewy and muscular but simultaneously pretty and very feminine. It's my favorite thing from the vintage, not least because I think I'll still be enjoying it in 20 years.
